Free Manipur!!!

I was given Irom Sharmilla as a profile personality.. I had never heard of her until then.. and after i googled it... i was knocked down!!! there was times when i was in rage after reading about her and the state of Manipur and other north eastern state.

The government and army at its worst can be seen through these states. I would have never imagined any Indian states going through such a difficult times and people living in terror and slaughtered at whims and fancies of the power bestowed to this so called responsible and law abiding citizens. The problem arose after annexation of states and passing of Armed Forces (Special power) Acts, 1958.

What took me aback was Irom Sharmilla has been on fast for last 10 years and no significant action has been taken place other than she been imprisoned under the Act of Attempt on Comnitting suicide. But when Chandreshekhar Rao does same thing for 14 days talk for new state starts. Irom Sharmilla's only demand is to Repeal this Act but proven fruitless. While media was busy covering this hunger strike this 'Iron Lady' has been living on forced fed and media do not even bother talking about her. Limelight is not what she craving for but fighting against ignorance and injustice- media is said to be powerful but no media to back her- where is this world leading? Raise to support Irom and her cause and let people be more aware. let us make our effort to fight the government injustice. They are our brothers and sisters there who needs our support- all they want is to live peacefully!!!
